Call of Duty - World at War Reviewed

Call of Duty: World at War is the latest installment in the popular Call of Duty series. The story takes place in World War 2, mainly in the Pacific theatre. Throughout the campaign, you will play as both a United States marine, as well as a Russian soldier of the Red Army. Your enemies are both the Japanese and Nazi Germany.

This game is simply fantastic. The graphics are wonderful, online or offline. This game was not expected to do well, as it was created by Treyarch, who created Call of Duty 3, which was not a great game. Plus, they had to live up to the nearly legendary Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which is considered by many to be the #1 game for consoles. But Treyarch delivered; Call of Duty: World at War was a huge success! The campaign is very unique and long enough to be enjoyable. No two levels look the same, and it seems like you're playing a new game every time you start a new mission. But the campaign is not what most people purchased the game for. Most purchased Call of Duty: World at War for the phenomenal online game play.

The online game play on Call of Duty: World at War is simply one of my favorite things to do, on any game I have ever played. You start out as a lowly level 1, with very few guns, and only your bravery to help you. Slowly you work your way up the food chain, unlocking new guns, new "perks" (abilities that help you in the game), and new game types. You will never get bored of playing this game. There are many, many different game types to choose from. You can play classic team death match, search and destroy, or even capture the flag!

It is a great game, and I recommend that everyone reading this pick it up as soon as possible!
