Nintendo has released their early 2009 line up and the English Version of Pokemon Platinum has a confirmed release date of 3/23/09. There is lots of hype around the upcoming release of the English Version for Nintendo DS. It is the third game in the Diamond & Pearl series. As the story unfolds, players will encounter the mysterious new Distortion World, an area unlike any seen in a Pokemon video game before. The Battle Frontier area (first introduced in Pokemon Emerald) has been added to Sinnoh, containing five new Battle Facilities for Trainers to challenge, each with its own special rules.
There are lots of new pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex and the plot is similar to Diamond & Pearl. After being given pokemon by Professor Rowan, you and your best friend set out to become the world's greatest Pokemon Trainers. You have to pass through eight Gyms and the Elite Four before you can be the master.
There are new stones to affect Dioxys and a new Team Galactic plot and a new area known as the TORN WORD where you'll find the LEGENDARY POKEMON GIRATINA. There are also new forms for Giratina and Shaymin and five new forms for Rotom. You can have rematches with Gym Leaders in the Top Trainer Cafe and battle in Pokemon Centers. The graphics are EVEN BETTER than Diamond & Pearl! There are new sprites EVERYWHERE. There are twice as many Training Masters and the fighting moves are different. Even when you become the Pokemon Master there a lots of new challenges and subquests to go on.
