Nintendo Wii Fit with Balance Board and its concept were originally announced by the one and only Shigeru Miyamoto at the E3 conference in July, 2007. The Wii Fit was first launched in Japan, in December of 2007. Nintendo corporation got the idea of a Wii Fit Balance Board by observing how the way the Sumo wrestlers did the weigh-ins. It uses information such as height, together with the weight, makes an imaginary 3D map of your center of gravity and tracks all your fine (and gross) actions extremely accurately.
